The Office of Open and Distance Learning (ODL) provides stakeholders: students, businesses, working professionals, both national and international, with quality non-credited and credited courses and programs. These courses and programs are developed internally, and also in partnerships with other institutions and businesses.
The Office of Open and Distance Learning will be the University’s hub for the development of quality credited and non-credited Continuing Education programs and courses. It will house the human and technical resources needed for the efficient management of online course development and delivery across the university.
The University of Belize offers short duration on-site/ off-site training and development sessions that are tailored to the individual organization’s needs. Courses can be customized based on the needs of the organization for personal and career enhancement to help fulfill job requirement.
The University of Belize through the office of Open and Distance Learning(ODL) prides itself through offering quality customer service. A representative is available online from 8:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M. Monday – Friday (except holidays) to answer questions or concerns.
The Open and Distance Learning (ODL) office serves Students and Faculty in online learning in all aspect. We provide orientation to Moodle for students and Faculty. In addition to providing Faculty with training and support to transition from a face to face class to a blended or a fully online class.
